Lay-Away Program

Terms & Conditions

• Free Lay-Away on orders of $500.00 or more for up to 6 months interest free (recurring credit/debit card payments)
•  In addition to a down payment, monthly recurring credit/debit card payments are required.  Down payment and monthly recurring payments are calculated by dividing the sale total by 7.  After the initial down payment is made, the remaining 6 payments will be set up to charge automatically on a monthly basis. (Example: $700 Purchase ÷ 7 Payments = $100 Down payment plus 6 additional payments of $100 each.)
• Lay-Away Program holds the prices – not the merchandise
• When final payment is made the Lay-Away is changed to a sale and the merchandise reserved. Out of stock merchandise could take several weeks to come in (based on manufacturer stock availability)
• The customer must take delivery or pick-up order within 7 days of availability of merchandise
• Lay-Aways that are cancelled within 14 days of the original date of the Lay-Away will be entitled to a full refund. Lay-Aways cancelled after 14 days of the original date of the Lay-Away will be eligible for a full refund minus a 10% cancellation fee
• Smith Home Furnishings reserves the right to cancel a Lay-Away if the monthly payments or final payment is not made as scheduled
• Only upon making the final payment can the purchaser request a price adjustment if the Lay-Away merchandise is now at a lower price
• As-Is, Clearance, Hot Buy, and accessory items that are in-stock and specially priced are not eligible for Lay-Away; as these items may not be backordered
•  If merchandise becomes discontinued or unavailable from manufacturer while in Lay-Away, the customer may reselect merchandise or receive a full refund
•  Refunds are processed within 48 hours using the original form of payment only.  After Smiths has processed the refund, it could take up to 5-7 business days for the refund to reach the customer’s financial institution
•  Late payment or a history of late payments will be subject to cancellation with a 10% fee.
