Larry & Charlotte
Larry and Charlotte Smith are not only partners in marriage but at work as well in the day to day operation of Smith Home Furnishings. They always travel together to all the various Markets across the country purchasing and merchandising Smith Home Furnishings making sure it always has the "newest and latest trends" in furniture and accessories. Larry and Charlotte also feel very blessed and know they owe the success of the business to God and the love and support of the Smith family. They are very involved in their church and community, and are proud of being "home grown" in Ponca City, Oklahoma. They're favorite time is when they are able to get together with their grown adult children on the Holiday's and sitting with their grandkids being "Grandpa and Grandma"!
Sean came to work for Smith Home Furnishings after graduating from Oklahoma State University in May of 2005 with a degree in Business Management. A native of Ponca City, Sean values the opportunity to live and work in his home town. As Store Manager, Sean enjoys very much the day to day activities of providing management support to the sales and office staff. Recognizing the importance of technology in today's world, Sean works hard at making computers and the internet effective tools for both our employees and our customers.
Ashley is the Sales Manager and has worked for Smith Home Furnishings since March of 2003. Ashley assists our Store Manager in several areas of the business, and is responsible for the overall operation of our office. Born and raised in Kay County, Ashley is proud to work for and support a locally owned business. Ashley loves to see our customers truly enjoy their shopping experience and be excited about their new furniture.
Brooke began working for Smith Home Furnishings in May of 2014. As our Office Manager, Brooke manages the daily functions of the office, playing a key role in Customer Service and Finance. Born and raised in the Kay County area, Brooke enjoys being able to work in such a wonderful environment among the familiarities of her hometown. She is the mother of two children and finds pleasure in spending her free time with family.
Assistant Office Manager
Colton started his career at Smith Home Furnishings in August of 2017, after completing his Associates in Mass Communications from Northern Oklahoma College. As Assistant Office Manager, Colton enjoys assisting customers with everything from taking payments and scheduling deliveries, to ensuring our customers interested in financing have the best experience possible. Born and raised in Blackwell, Oklahoma, Colton has deep roots in our area and is thankful for the opportunity to work in a community surrounded by friends and family.
Eugene began working at Smith Home Furnishings as a full-time Sales Associate in July of 2004. With several years of experience working in retail, Eugene believes that providing outstanding customer service is the foundation to building lasting relationships. Living in Kansas, he loves to root for the Kansas Jayhawks and also enjoys working in his community, serving others. Eugene looks forward to each day, helping customers find the furniture & accessories that make their house a home.
Originally from Iowa, Don and his wife moved to Ponca City in 1971 to open Brown's Shoe Fit. After working 33 years, Don retired from Brown's and began working part-time as a Sales Associate at Smith Home Furnishings. Don supports locally owned businesses and enjoys working and assisting customers with various home furnishing needs. Outside of work, Don values time spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends.
After several years in Montana, Shane joined our team after relocating to Ponca City in order to be closer to family. Referred to by many friends as the "Mountain Man", Shane enjoys spending time outdoors, especially wilderness hiking. He and his wife have filled their home with Mission styled furnishings, much like what can be found here at our store. As a full-time Sales Associate, with several years of experience in customer service, Shane looks forward to helping his customers and providing an enjoyable furniture shopping experience.
Having lived in the Oklahoma City area for several years, Scott joined our team as a full-time Sales Associate after relocating to Ponca City in January of 2011. Scott has worked in sales for many years and looks forward to the opportunity to serve our customers. In his free time, Scott enjoys working outdoors and watching college football and baseball.
Carolyn began her career in retail furniture sales in Rapid City, South Dakota in 1987 after working several years as a cosmetologist. She began her career at Smith Home Furnishings in 1996 and after 19 years of service, Carolyn made the difficult decision to retire in order to care for her mother. After about one year, Carolyn was able to return to work as a Part-Time Sales Associate, and the rest is history. Specializing in design and custom orders, Carolyn is excited to be back doing what she loves and looks forward to connecting with both past and future customers.
Originally from Honduras, Riccy grew up in Oklahoma and began her career at Smith Home Furnishings as a Full-Time Sales Associate in 2015. Speaking English and Spanish, Riccy enjoys the opportunity to communicate and work with our customers, ensuring they receive the best possible experience at our store. Short in stature, but big in heart, being successful in both her professional and personal life is very important to Riccy. In her downtime, Riccy enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, in Newkirk, OK where they currently reside.
Carla started her career as a Sales Associate with Smith Home Furnishings in 2015, after working at Ponca City Public Schools for over 5 years. Originally from West Texas, Carla moved to Ponca City to be close to family. Having worked in sales for many years, including furniture sales in the San Antonio area, Carla is excited about the opportunity to get back to helping customers find the perfect furniture or mattress for their home.
Born and raised in Ponca City, Patrick is proud to work for a locally owned and operated business. Patrick started his career with Smith Home Furnishings as a Sales Associate in May of 2017, previously working in the Sales and Customer Service industry for over 10 years. The most important thing for Patrick is being able to simply help people find what they are looking for, while making it an easy and comfortable experience. Away from work, Patrick enjoys family time and watching as much football as possible.
Waymond began his career at Smith Home Furnishings as a warehouse worker in 1998. With over 15 years of management experience, Waymond was soon after promoted to our Warehouse Manager position. Waymond has respect for and takes great pride in serving our warehouse team. Believing the customer comes first, Waymond looks forward to making our customers happy with their professional delivery or customer pick-up experience.
